OUR STORY

4th Generation Family-Owned Business

Our great grandparents ran the Barnyard Nursery when our mom was just a little girl.  Little skinny Mandy (mom) used to make change, lift up heavy bags of manure, and pick up cigarette butts leftover from the customers. Now we help run the Nursery.

Later it was run by Mandy's Uncle and Aunt.

Right now we are in the early stages of rebuilding.

We have run a farm in Queen Creek, AZ for the last 7 years and now we are dreaming of rebuilding a second farm in Holbrook, AZ.

ABOUT 819 Mission Lane Farm

We are only tenders of the land, stewards of a place that is not ours.  Yes, the land is owned outright by Mandy, but the Word of the Lord says:

"The earth is the LORD’s, and the fullness thereof, the world and all who dwell therein.2For He has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters.…

Our goal is to grow things God's way and provide the healthiest food available for all people.

The Jesuits have a saying, "Ad majorem Dei gloriam," which means "For the Greater Glory of God." That is our goal as well.

The Cowboy way, the American Way, the Holbrook way is to help one another.

Holbrook certainly has had a rich past full of cowboys, sheriff legends, first peoples, pioneers, wild women, wrestlers, coaches (including the legendary Raul Mendoza). and even
thieves and cattle rustlers - more than a few local and national heroes, and a couple villains, "which is which," is debated by all.  Holbrook is a beautifully diverse town, with salt of the earth people.   The High Desert Plateau has housed cattle, railroad men, Hash Knife men, close knit families and most importantly people who placed God and country first.   Holbrook was once called a town "too tough for women or Churches,"   By 1914 Holbrook was said to be the only county seat in the U.S. that didn’t have a church. However, in our day and age, Jesus is King in Holbrook. Ben and Mandy were married in "Our Lady of Guadalupe Church," in 1995.  God has many people in this city, we are excited to rejoin and do a small part.
